Who may enter
The competition is open to writers and illustrators 18 years or over.

Short description
The contest is organized by the Biblioteca Insular de Gran Canaria.

Submissions must be a picture book, a work where the story is developed through text and images, or exclusively images. Submissions must be in Spanish.

“ Contestants must submit a copy of the text, which must be double-spaced, and a colour reproduction of three original illustrations. A model of the complete album will be included, in with the placement of the presented illustrations and text can be visible, as well as the sketch, at least, of the rest of the illustrations that shall appear.

The works must be original and unpublished, and must not be the subject of any other contest or publishing contract.

Entry fee
The competition is free to enter.

Prize
The winner will receive € 11,000. 
The winning album will be published by Editorial Everest, one of the most important children’s publishers in Spain.
