Who may enter
The competition is open to everyone between the ages of 18 and 25.

Short description

The competition is a collaboration between the Bergen International Literary Festival, the research project ÂŤClimate NarrativesÂť at University of Bergen / Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research and the Rafto Foundation for Human Rights.

“ Write your story about the climate crisis in a poem or a personal essay.

There are two categories:
• Essay: maximum 1700 words 
• Poem: maximum 700 words 

Entries must be in English.

Poems and essays must not have been previously published.

 

Entry fees
The competition is free to enter.

Prizes
One poetry winner and one essay winner will each receive 2,000 €.
