The HCB Award is dedicated to photographers of all nationalities who have already completed a significant body of work, close to the documentary approach. There is no age limit.
You may submit stories and essays on any theme, up to 6,000 words each. The winning story and essay will each receive $1,500. Ten Honorable Mentions will receive $100 each.
The Nikon Small World Competition is open to anyone with an interest in photography through the microscope.
International Images for Science is calling for images that cover all breadth of science from medicine, forensic science, zoology, engineering, astronomy, all scientific fields.
The competition is open to authors writing in English or any of the BCMS languages (Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian, Montenegrin). There are three categories: Best Short Story, Best Poem and Best Essay.
Images must showing both the Earth and the sky – by combining elements of the night sky (e.g., stars, planets, the Moon) in the backdrop of a beautiful, historic, or notable location or landmark.
Stories can be on any theme or subject. Prizes: £1000 first prize, £200 second prize, £100 third prize.
The competition is open to young photographers under 35 years of age, of any nationality. The winner will receive a grant of €10,000.
