All poems entered for the prize must be single poems with a maximum length of 50 lines and be no more than 1,000 words in total. Entry fees: AUD$15 and AUD$20. The winner will receive AUD$15,000. The runner-up (second-placed poem) will receive AUD$5,000.
The competition is open to students of photography and professional photojournalists under the age of 35. You may submit one reportage or photo essay (15-30 photos). The work must show a journalistic character. The winner will receive € 10,000. Entry is free.
Entries should reflect themes of courage and leadership in combating corruption. Each winning entry will be awarded CA$1,000.Entry is free.
The competition is open to illustrators over the age of 18. The book to be illustrated for The Book Illustration Competition 2018 is The Selected Adventures and and Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes.
Entries must be a single essay of 3,000 to 6,000 words, written in English. Essays can be on any non-fiction subject. The entry fee is AU$25. The winner will receive AU$5,000
€1,000 for the best poem written by an adult for children aged 7–11. The winning poem will appear in the summer issue of The Caterpillar. Anyone over 16 can enter, as long as the poem is previously unpublished. The entry fee is €12 per poem.
The work entered must be created in pencil (including water-soluble, pastel, graphite, charcoal or coloured pencils). First Prize: £6,000. The entry fee is £15 for the first work.
