International Image Contest 2018

Description

Deadline
3rd February 2018

Who may enter
The competition is open to students and professionals of photography, graphic design, visual arts and documentary films, aged 18 and over.

Description
The contest is part of the International Image Festival (FINI), organized by the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo (Mexico) and its Board of Trustees.

The main topic of the competition is FRONTIERS.

The word “frontier” is generally used to refer to the border between two countries. As a result of globalization, those frontiers have become flexible in some territories, however, in some others they have become stricter. Currently, frontiers are under a transformation process with the participation of several political and social actors, where technology, economy and society play a leading role, tackling the challenge that tolerance, mutual respect and the effective application of human rights represent.

The contest is divided into two categories: "Professionals" and "Students".

There are four genres:
1. Photography (analog and digital)
2. Alternative techniques (digital art, photomontage or collage)
3. Documentary (short or feature-length film)
4. Poster (free technique)
