Wildlife Artist of the Year 2018

Who may enter
Anyone who is over 17 years old can enter. The competition is open to amateur and professional artists alike.

The Wildlife Artist of the Year is an annual wildlife art competition. It is organised by the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation.

The judges will accept any medium, excluding photography. Mediums can include oil, acrylic, watercolour, pencil, mixed media, bronze, plaster, wire, collage with styles encompassing traditional, abstract, monochrome and many others. 

Entries must correspond to one of the seven categories: Animal Behaviour, Earth’s Wild Beauty, Into the Blue, Urban Wildlife, Vanishing Fast, Wings.

Entries must be completed by the entrant themselves and must be their own original work.

Entry fees
Entry for David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation members, 17-25 yrs and over 60 yrs is £10 per entry and for all others £25 per entry.

• Overall winner receives £10,000 cash prize & title ‘Wildlife Artist of the Year 2017’.
• Overall runner up receives £1,000 cash prize.
• Category winners receive £500 each.
