The 6th Lumix Festival for Young Photojournalism – FREELENS Award

Who may enter
The competition is open to students of photography and professional photojournalists under the age of 35 from all over the world.
The LUMIX Festival for Young Photojournalism is a biennial festival in Hannover, organized by the Association for the Promotion of Photography in cooperation with the photojournalism and documentary photography study course at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Hanover and with the support of the German photojournalist association FREELENS.
The LUMIX Festival for Young Photojournalism attests to the power of photojournalism in our image-oriented world. Fundamentally influencing our perception of humanity in all its facets, photojournalism contributes to our education and sensitization, rouses our emotion, and enables us to share.
You may submit one reportage or photo essay (15-30 photos). The work must show a journalistic character.
Entry is free.
The winner will receive € 10,000. Furthermore two Honorable Mentions including prize money of € 1,000 each will be awarded.
The photobook publisher Lois Lammerhuber will award the best story from everyday life with the Lammerhuber Photography Award in the amount of € 5,000.
