2017 Nelligan Prize for Short Fiction

Contest opens December 1, 2016.

Who may enter
The competition is open to anyone.

The contest is organised by the Colorado Review, an American literary journal published by the Center for Literary Publishing at Colorado State University.

$2,000 will be awarded for the best short story. Stories must be previously unpublished. There are no theme restrictions, but stories should be at least 10 pages and under 50 pages.

This year’s final judge is Richard Bausch.

Entry fees
Entry fee is $15 per story.

The winner receives a $2,000 honorarium and the story is published in the fall/winter issue of Colorado Review.
