The competition is open to anyone aged 18 and over.

The competition is organized by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, UAE.

There are 9 categories open to photographers from all over the world:

• Night Photography
• Photojournalism
• Portraiture
• Short Film & Moving Image
• Street Photography

Entry fees
The competition is free to enter.

Prizes
• Overall winner: 6,000 USD
• Category winners: 3,000 USD 
• Category runner-up: 1,500 USD
