The Galley Beggar Press Short Story Prize is an annual short story competition open to both published and unpublished writers.The story must be written in English.The cost of entry per submission is £10.The winning author will receive a cash prize of £2000. Shortlisted authors will each receive £200.
The competition is open to citizens of the following countries: EU 27 Member States, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, Turkey, North Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia, Herzegovina, United Kingdom.The competition is free to enter.The winners in each category (Close-ups of nature, Nature on my doorstep, Zoom out on nature) will be awarded a cash prize of 1000 €.
