The competition is open to amateur and professional photographers from around the world. Entrants must be 16 years or over.

Short description

The Kuala Lumpur International Photoawards [KLPA] is an annual global portrait photography competition initiated in 2009 by Steven V-L Lee, a Malaysian photographer.

This year's theme is Portraits of Intimacy. 

“ The theme is open to interpretation and in the main genres for eg. documentary, conceptual, fine art, photojournalistic.

Each photographer may enter up to 10 images per submission.

Entry fees
• 1 image: US$ 15 
• 2 images: US$ 30 
• 3-5 images: US$ 50
• 6-10 images: US$ 75

Prizes
• 1st Prize –  US$ 2,000
• 2nd Prize –  US$ 1,000
• 3rd Prize –  US$ 500
• 4 prizes of US$ 250
