The competition is open to young photographers age between 18 and 25.

The California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco has launched a grant for emerging photographers, aged 18-25, to support the creation of photographic images around the themes of conservation, science and sustainability of the natural world.

We are looking for proposals for multi-media Projects around the theme of conservation, science and sustainability of the natural world. The basis of the Project should be visual imagery in the form of photography or video.

Application for the BigPicture Emerging Photographer Grant should include a portfolio (20–30 images and/or links to 3 videos that demonstrate your photography and videography skills) and short Project description.

Entry fee
The competition is free to enter.

Prizes 
Two $2,500 grants and mentorships will be awarded in July 2020.
