The competition is open to emerging writers. 

Short description

The competition is organized by The Masters Review, an American literary magazine and book publisher.

“ We don’t have any preferences topically or in terms of style. We’re simply looking for the best. We don’t define, nor are we interested in, stories identified by their genre. We do, however, consider ourselves a publication that focuses on literary fiction. Dazzle us, take chances, and be bold.

You may submit a short story up to 6,000 words.

Only previously unpublished work will be accepted.

The competition will be judged by Chelsea Bieker.

Entry fee
The entry fee is $20.

Prizes
• 1st place: $3,000 and publication online
• 2nd place: $300
• 3rd place: $200
