Mslexia Women’s Short Story Competition 2021

Who may enter
The competition is open to women of any nationality from any country. 

The competition is organised by Mslexia, a British magazine for women writers.

Submit complete short fiction of up to 3,000 words, in any genre, for adult and/or young adult readers. 

Entries should be in English or English dialect and should not have been published or accepted for publication elsewhere.

This year's judge is the multi-award-winning novelist and short story writer A L Kennedy.

Entry fee
£12 per story

The winner will receive £3,000

Three additional finalists will each receive £100.

The winning entry and three finalists will be published in the December 2021 edition of Mslexia.
