Who may enter
The competition is open to anyone aged 18 or over. International entries are welcome.
Short description
The National Poetry Competition is an annual poetry prize organized by the UK-based Poetry Society.
All poems must have a title and must not exceed 40 lines in length (excluding title)
Entries must be written in English.
Entries can be on any subject.
Entries must not have been published.
Entry fees
The first poem submitted costs ÂŁ8. Subsequent entries in the same submission cost ÂŁ5 per poem.
Prizes

⢠2nd prize: £2,000
⢠3rd prize: £1,000
